Mr. Foglio is excited to launch the Archaeology Club at Humanex! Each Monday, starting September 9th, we will dig in a small basin for artifacts from the weekly theme. It will be more ceremonial and educational than genuine artifact excavation due to the limited resources at school, but we will learn techniques like proper digging, mapping, washing, drying and interpreting/analyzing. We will study each theme from multiple sources, and create stories/scenarios from the artifacts. Themes include Egypt (2 sessions), Mesoamerica (2 sessions) American Western Frontier (2 sessions), Rome, Vikings, Sioux, Navajo and Baseball. Digging The Past is my one person LLC that started with summer camps and birthday parties in 2015, and I'm super happy to bring this to Humanex. The price includes an artifact to take home at the last class, as well as a pizza party for that session. Please note there will be 12 sessions total, but no Archaeology Club when there is no school at Humanex: September 1, October 21 and December 2. If you'd like to pay in installments, or have ANY questions, please contact me. I also have Zelle but sorry, no Venmo or Paypal. Cash is ok. Archaeology Club will run for the first semester only. A late pick up fee may apply after 4:30. Behavioral expectations of the classroom apply; Digging The Past LLC reserves the right to remove any student not meeting behavioral expectations. No refunds, please. Space is limited to 12 students so please sign up soon! Thank you for supporting this educational opportunity where we all learn from one another! https://www.diggingpast.org/event/?39201/infoTHANKS! Jim Foglio
